The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

 


 

January, 2012 Meeting

MATTIE ORDAZA, President of the Texas Conference United Methodist Women installed 2012 officers and chairmen at the January meeting. She challenged each person to strive for excellence while serving in her office. Janie Clapp was installed as the incoming president; Donna McCrary as the incoming vice-president; Mary Ann Vincent as the Secretary; and Sally Sullivan as the Treasurer. After the meeting a delicious soup and salad luncheon prepared by E. B. Clapp was enjoyed by all ladies atttending.

The United Methodist Women invite all women of the church to become members!

Martha Circle women volunteer at Tomball Emergency Assistance Ministries at the corner of Main and Cherry Street in Tomball. Tuesdays our ladies can be found working in the resale store.

The next meeting of the UMW Book Club will be August 17 (Wednesday) at 3:00 in the Faith building gathering area. The discussion will be on the book LONGING FOR ENOUGH IN A CULTURE OF MORE by Paul L. Escamilla
