Tomball Community Garden
The garden is located on our 20 acres just to the east of our campus buildings and provides fresh produce to TEAM through the hard work of volunteers from the community.
During this time of COVID 19, we are keeping our work crews at a skeletal level. We work on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 until 10:00 am. If you are interested in volunteering, please make arrangements with Dale Reid prior to the work day at email@example.com. We want to make sure that only a small number will be volunteering on any given day. Please honor our efforts to keep everyone safe by social distancing even in the Garden.
All are welcome to join!
Tomball Emergency Assistance Ministries (TEAM) is an emergency assistance ministry for residents of the Tomball and surrounding communities. TEAM provides short-term assistance with food, clothing, shelter, rent and utilities, as well as medical, dental and prescription needs. TEAM operates a resale shop, food pantry, and an assistance ministry.
Tomball United Methodist Church serves as one of the founding churches for this organization and continues to financial and physically support this ministry for the people of Tomball.
Manna bags are knapsacks filled with food, water, toiletries, and scriptural guidance to be given out to the homeless in our community. The manna bags are assembled by the Saints Alive Sunday School class on an “as needed” basis. Please contact the church office if you have any questions regarding this ministry area.
Please feel free to take a bag and put in your car for the next time you want to witness to the homeless in our community. Filled manna bags are kept in the Library in the sanctuary building.
Our backpack ministry provides food for children who participate in the school lunch program during the week and may not have enough to eat on the weekend. We administer this ministry through the counselors with Tomball Elementary, Decker Prairie Elementary, & Rosehill Elementary so that students/families confidentiality is maintained. We send home enough food for a family of four to have two meals each weekend.
If you are interested in being a part of this program please click on the button to send information to the coordinator of this program.
We are providing a hot meal to their clients once a quarter. We prepare the meals at TUMC and take them to the center and serve the clients. We need individuals who are willing to cook, those willing to serve food (certification required through the State of Texas), and individuals who are willing to just visit with the clients and share a meal with them at the Center.
