Military Ministry

military ministry

Tomball United Methodist Church supports our military and our families who have individuals who are serving in the military.

Wreaths Across America

We offer to take a team to place wreaths during this amazing event to honor our veterans who have gone on before us.  Our Boy Scout troops also offer this as a service project for the scouts.

Camp Hope

The mission of Camp Hope is to honor the fallen by helping the wounded. We offer all expenses paid adventures and comradery for our service men and women that gave selflessly for our freedoms.  From Camp Hope-Houston:  Participants are required to be military combat veterans or family members of those who have served in combat and be willing to face the challenges of managing post-traumatic stress and related conditions. This is not a treatment program, but rather a peer coaching and support program whose primary purpose is helping combat veterans find healing, balance and positive re-integration with their families and in society.  We have and continue to expand a network of individuals, churches, and other organizations to provide a “corps of compassion” in order to assist veterans and their families in dealing with the symptoms of PTSD.

Operation gratitude

During Faith in Action each year we have a “packing team” that puts together boxes of supplies that we share with Operation Gratitude.  We support the efforts of this organization in providing supplies to our military.

Military ministry

We currently work with the following organizations that directly impact the lives of those who have served and those who are serving.

Throughout the year we honor our veterans during various services.  We would like to keep an active record of our members or regular attenders who are serving or have served in the military.  Please take just a few moments to provide us with appropriate information so that we can honor you.
